On Friday 4th November, our Year 3 & 4 girl's football team played their first matches of the season. It was in the County Cup group stage at St. Paul's Primary School in Wokingham against this school and Westende Primary.
For many of the girls in the team, it was their very first football match and there was a real mixture of nerves and excitement at the beginning of the afternoon. By the end of it though, the nerves had gone but the excitement and enthusiasm stayed throughout both of the very difficult games. Although they did not win their matches, all the girls demonstrated our school values by trying their best and persevering when things got tough. We really improved as individuals and as a team and the team scored their first goal during their second match against St. Paul's.
