We are thrilled to share that Birch Copse Primary School has achieved our 4th re-accreditation of the prestigious NACE Challenge Award, becoming only the 11th school in the country to reach this milestone!
The Challenge Award recognises our school’s commitment to providing high-quality teaching and support that challenges all pupils, with a particular focus on meeting the needs of our more able learners. This achievement reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the support of our whole school community.
Here are some highlights from the official NACE letter:
“Birch Copse Primary School is a very special school, which has a commitment to develop its practice and makes strong provision for its more able learners. It recognises the need to challenge all pupils to achieve the highest levels of performance, and this culture of high aspiration pervades the whole school.”
“The atmosphere in the school is warm, offering a positive learning environment, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with you. You have clearly made good progress in addressing the needs of more able pupils, and this whole-school commitment was strongly reflected by your staff and pupils.”
“Many congratulations to everyone involved, and I hope that this award will provide further external recognition of your school’s commitment to quality whole-school provision for more able learners.”
We are incredibly proud of this achievement and delighted to celebrate the hard work, talent, and dedication of everyone at Birch Copse. Here’s to continuing to challenge, inspire, and support every pupil to reach their full potential!
