Congratulations to the Birch Copse Maths Quiz team for making through to the National Finals of the Quiz Club Maths Championships. The team of four children from year 6 made it through the regional rounds and the semi finals - both completed online - before being invited to take part in the live finals. The event took place last Friday (28th June) at the prestigious Oxford University - the perfect place for a national final. Or team were up against the 32 best schools in the country - most of them private - and were tasked with answering some incredibly difficult questions in a short amount of time. The nature of the questions meant the children had to work as a team to get the correct answer, which our children did really well. The team finished 25th overall - out of over 500 primary schools that took part - a real achievement.
