County Champions!

Congratulations to our Year 4 boys football team who lifted the County Cup trophy on Monday 1st July. Every school in Berkshire is invited to take part in the competition and the boys have had to play schools from West Berkshire, Slough and Wokingham before reaching the final. It was amazing to find that their opponents where St Nics school from Newbury who they played at the group stage - and drew 1-1 with. Both teams went on to win all their knock-out fixtures to make it an all West Berkshire finals. The scoreline was very different this time round though with Birch Copse dominating the match throughout. We scored some brilliant goals and the defense was so effective that our goalkeepers only made two saves in the whole match. The score finished 7-0 to Birch Copse and the team were awarded the County Cup trophy - the first time for Birch Copse.
