AWE Ada Lovelace science day
AWE Ada Lovelace Day Event
On Wednesday 8th November, six budding scientists from Birch Copse attended AWE’s Ada Lovelace Day Event. The aim of the event was to promote and encourage interest in the STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The day featured a series of experiments, activities and demonstrations run by some of AWE’s female scientists and engineers and covered topics such as: static electricity, the Mars landing and heat conduction. Prior to the event, our six scientists also put together individual projects on a female scientist of their choice and, on the day, they all presented their projects, doing so with such confidence and enthusiasm. Throughout the day, our scientists also demonstrated some great knowledge and understanding in several areas of science and their teamwork was excellent. We could not have been more proud of them.
